Kelly Rose is a costume professional, a fabric and textile artist, a maker, a plant-lover, a light-seeker.
Kelly Rose has been making costumes professionally since 2008. Her work is featured in HBO’s Emmy-nominated The Righteous Gemstones, nominated in 2024 for Outstanding Contemporary Costumes for a Series. Her costume credits include such leading networks and institutions as HBO Max, Apple TV+, Fox TV Network, Paramount+, the Goodman Theatre, The Costume Shop Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Company, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra, among others. She began her career at the internationally-renown Goodman Theatre, having started as an intern and working up to a managerial role, gaining skills and experience along the way. She is a member of Theatrical Wardrobe Union I.A.T.S.E. Local 769.
Kelly’s passion for costumes comes from her combined two loves - storytelling and clothing. She believes the clothes with which we dress bodies are an opportunity to tell our stories, to reveal more of ourselves to the world around us.
